Responsible drivers scrap their vehicles at an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF).

This is because only an ATF can legally scrap a vehicle.
That means any pollutants will be made safe before it is recycled in an environmentally friendly way.

What's more, when your vehicle is removed, you'll get a DVLA approved Certificate of Destruction (CoD). A CoD proves that the ATF has told the DVLA that your vehiclehas been scrapped and is no longer your responsibility.

When your vehicle has reached the end of it's life, the hassle free way to deal with it is to complete the form opposite or call out freephone number.
Within 24 hours one of our agents will contact you to agree a convenient time to collect your vehicle.
Our agent will also prepare a Certificate of Destruction either immediately prior to collecting your vehicle, or at your doorstep.
Issuing the Certificate of Destruction guarantees that your vehicle will be scrapped and instalty ends your responsibility for the vehicle.

Our ATF agent will take the vehicle directly to the facility listed on the Certificate of Destruction. The vehicle will then be de-polluted and recycled in accordance with The End-of-Life Vehicles Regulations 2003 and The End-of-Life Vehicles (Producer Responsibility) Regulations 2005.

In order to prepare a Certificate of Destruction out agents will ask for some information about your vehicle.
This information is present on your V5 registration document or logbook.
Please do not worry if you cannot find your V5 logbook as out agent will be able to find this information from your vehicle.
Our service is free of charge and offers a legal hassle free disposal of your car. This is because all of our agents are Authorised Treatment Facilities so your car is recycled properly and legally.
We do not offer money for your scrap car and warn you to be aware of those who do. Vehicle recycling is an expensive and complex process. Please look at the process and you will understand why this is the case.
Those that operate outside the Vehicle Recycling laws have no method of removing Vehicle waste and simply profit by leaving a mess for the taxpayer to clean up.
Furthermore, if you do sell your scrap vehicle to an unlicensed person and you do NOT obtain your Certificate of Destruction, you are risking comebacks. You hand your V5 log book to the unlicensed person and have no say in the vehicle's destiny. It is not unknown for false names and addresses to be given when filling out the detachable yellow slip which you send to the DVLA.
There have been countless cases where such vehicles have been put back on the road, and have remained in the names of keepers who thought they had scrapped their vehicles.
This has resulted in DVLA fines, or worse still, vehicles being involved in accidents in the name of the person who thought the vehicle was scrapped.

THIS SIMPLY CANNOT HAPPEN ONCE YOU HAVE OBTAINED YOUR CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION
